Based in Tampa, FL, DJ Erick D is a seasoned disc jockey with a rich backdrop in sharing his mélange of musical flair across diverse venues and events. An accomplished mixer, he sails through fluid segues of Drum & Bass, Breaks, UK Garage, House, Trap, Dubstep, Hip Hop, Top 40, R&B, Rock, Country, and any other genre that his clientele craves for.

Inspired by the urban allure of breakdance and hip-hop beats growing up in Kansas City, Erick kicked off his DJ career in the lively setting of "FishHeads", a renowned venue near Eglin AFB in NW Florida during his stint with the U.S. Air Force in 1995. Here, Erick embarked on evoking musical magic, his passion for DJing shining brightly alongside his military duties.

Moving onto Florida State University, Erick's pursuit of higher education did not quell his love for spinning tunes. He divided his time between the rigors of academic studies and the vibrant nightlife of Tallahassee as one of the illustrious 'Vital Sounds DJs’. His journey took him to the buzzing breakbeat music scene when he relocated to Tampa in 2005.

In 2020, Erick looped back into his musical persona, kindling the dormant DJing vibes at the home studio surrounded by a supportive circle of loving friends and his wife, Abby. Shifting away from the corporate world, he embraced modern technology and his constant yearning for DJing to wholeheartedly plunge into spinning his unique fusion of tracks.

Fast-forward to today, and DJ Erick D has electrified crowds at a diverse range of venues, including Jannus Live, Tequila Daisy, Bar23Fifty, Twisted Orange, Boar and Buffalo, Blur, Jimmy’s on the Edge, and Dang Good on Main. His talent spans from intimate weddings to large-scale corporate events, captivating audiences with seamless mixes and high-energy performances. In addition, Erick has worked with esteemed clients such as the Hillsborough County School District, The YMCA of Greater Tampa Bay, The Eagles Community Association, The Automotive Syndicate Society, and The Motor Enclave.
